Explain the 'bleeps,' we can handle it

Could the Daily Herald please explain to us the significance of "visuality" in American journalism? Recently, in connection with Governor Blagojevich's escapades, we have been told that he said some bleeping things about certain bleeping people, and I have been asking myself what the bleep this is all about. Now I gather we are assumed to know exactly what the words are that are being suppressed, so what is the point of not printing them in the papers? We are grown up enough to be able to see and read the actual words spoken, so why treat us as juveniles by not printing them? Or is there something sacred about "visuality" in American journalism? Come on, now, tell us exactly what the words are that were spoken. I think we can handle it.
