Thanks to Path cleanup volunteers

The Wheaton Environmental Improvement Commission wishes to extend a sincere thank you to all our volunteers who helped with the 2008 Prairie Path Cleanup held on April 26. Despite a cold windy day, over 200 adults, teens and children came out to clean the path.

Many thanks to the AM Rotary Club, College of Du Page Student Leadership Council, Friends of the Great Western Trail, Milton Township Republicans Central Committee, Old Navy, St. Michael's Knights of Columbus and the Wyndemere Recycling Club. We would also like to recognize the many individuals and families who participated in the cleanup effort including Boy Scout Troop 374, Cub Scout Pack 134, Wheaton Christian Reform Church, Wheaton Junior's Women's Club and students from Wheaton Warrenville South High School.

As evidenced by the many orange bags filled with trash, you all did a fantastic job! We hope to see you again next year. Until then, enjoy the Prairie Path!
