Future Cats Cheerleading Camp: Register by May 30. 5-8 p.m. June 9 and 10, in the Fieldhouse at Libertyville High School, 708 W. Park Ave., Libertyville. Students in kindergarten through eighth grade learn the fundamentals of cheerleading. A fundraiser by the LHS Cheerleaders and Wildcat Cheerleader Parent Organization. Participating in camp allows the camper to walk in the Libertyville Days Parade on June 14. $60. Cheerleading openings: CCA teams will be formed at the end of May and practice starts in June. The CCA Titans competitive all-star cheerleading teams are open for the 2008-09 season to all girls entering kindergarten through 12th grade. Previous experience is welcome, but not required. The Titans maintain a no-cut policy for girls entering kindergarten through ninth grade, so everyone in that age group will be placed on a team. Mutual of Omaha Breakout! Swim Clinic: 8 a.m.-noon June 28, Birchwood Pool, 435 W. Illinois Ave., Palatine. Sponsored by the Palatine Park District, the in-water stoke technique clinic features five-time Olympic medalist Josh Davis. $50 for Palatine Swim Team members; $60 for nonmembers. $65 after June 1. Soccer summer camps: Check-in begins at 8:45 a.m., activities run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., July 14-18 and Aug. 4-8, Libertyville Township Soccer Complex, 1860 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville. The Greater Libertyville Soccer Association will offer summer camps conducted by the Eclipse Select Soccer Association Professional Staff for soccer players ages 7 to 14. The fee for this camp is $250 per session if received by June 1. After June 1, the fee is $275 per session. Adult Sand Volleyball: 6:15 and 7:15 p.m. Thursdays starting June 3, at the Hartmann Park sand volleyball courts in Vernon Hills. 6-on-6 co-ed league is limited to eight teams, playing an eight-game season and a tournament.
