Kudos to alert crossing guard
On Tuesday, May 6, I saw the crossing guard at Campanelli School prevent a possibly tragic accident.
I was heading north on Springinsguth and the car beside me was not observing the 20 mph school zone speed limit (you'd think the flashing light and signs in the middle of the street would be enough notice).
The crossing guard was in the middle of the street with her stop sign held above her head and she noticed the car beside me was not slowing down. She ran toward the children who were about to step into the street, waving at them to stop.
At this point I think the other driver finally saw the crossing guard and suddenly stopped. Kudos to the crossing guard.
Shame on the driver.
