REALITYTheatre to hold auditions
OMNI Youth Services' REALITYTheatre will hold auditions for new ensemble members at 6 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday at OMNI's Buffalo Grove Office, 1111 West Lake Cook Road.
Auditions will run in order of arrival. Scenes for a cold reading will be provided. Auditions are open to teens who are currently in eighth through 11th grade. Previous acting/performance experience helpful, but not necessary. A firm belief in being drug/alcohol free is required. Those auditioning only need to attend one date.

Six-week caregiver class in Barrington
The Barrington Area Council on Aging will begin its next six-week "Powerful Tools for Caregivers" class Tuesday. The class is scheduled for 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Alden Estates of Barrington, 1420 S. Barrington Road. The course is designed for the nonprofessional caregiver who is helping to care for a parent, spouse, or friend who lives at home, in a nursing home, or across the country. The program helps family caregivers reduce stress, improve self-confidence, better communicate their feelings, balance their life and enhance their ability to make tough decisions and to locate helpful resources. The course runs through June 17. A suggested donation is $30 per person to cover the cost of materials and instruction, but no one is turned away due to inability to pay. Dist. 54 committees need new members
Schaumburg Township Elementary District 54 is seeking community members interested in serving on its District Citizens Advisory Committee, Advisory Council for District Initiatives or Budget Review Committee.

Spring clean to help the animals
