New water main in Aurora

Storm sewer work has been completed on Galena Boulevard from the Fox River to River Street in Aurora. The next phase of underground improvements for Galena Boulevard will begin today. The work will include the installation of a new water main from River Street to Lake Street and is scheduled to be completed by May 23. The work will include lane closures, but at least one lane of through traffic will be maintained.

Steel Beam production

Tickets are available for "The Last Five Years," a contemporary musical, at the Steel Beam Theatre, 111 W. Main St., St. Charles. Weekend performances continue through Sunday. The production, written and composed by Jason Robert Brown, chronicles five years in the life of a writer and actress. Tickets are $25 for adults and $23 for seniors citizens and students. Richard Marx in concert

Pop singer Richard Marx is scheduled to perform an acoustic concert featuring Matt Scannell of Vertical Horizon May 24 at the Arcada Theatre, 105 E. Main St., St. Charles. Marx became an international star in the late 1980s with the No. 1 hit "Right Here Waiting for You" and other chart-topping pop songs. Road work begins today

Road work is scheduled to start today and continue through May 23 on New York Street from River Street to the Fox River Bridge in Aurora. The work will include lane closures, but at least one lane of through traffic will be maintained. The city is asking motorists to use other routes if possible. The work is weather-dependent.
