• Lindsey Bell, of Elk Grove Village, was elected president of the Student Government Association for 2008-2009 as a sophomore at Augustana College and serves on the following SGA committees: Educational Policies Committee, Internship Committee, and SGA Public Relations Committee Chair.
Lindsey is also the Treasurer of SAFARI, an immigration awareness group on campus and an assistant once a week in an ESL class in the Rock Island community.
She is the daughter of Dave and Karen Bell.
• Erica Waycie Hegland graduated from Elmhurst College June 1, Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Biology. She is the daughter of Dave and Linda Waycie of Mount Prospect.
• Megan Breen received her Master of Arts degree as a reading specialist from Concordia University Chicago, River Forest, May 3. Her parents are Bill and Judi Breen, of Elk Grove Village. Megan is currently teaching 6th grade at Stevenson Elementary School, in Melrose Park.
• Lindsay Bost, of Des Plaines, made the Dean's List for both the 2007 Autumn and 2008 Winter Quarters at DePaul University. She plans to study abroad at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia during the summer and fall 2008 quarters. A student in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, she is the daughter of Kevin and Robin Bost of Des Plaines,
• Eric Carr, son of Patrick and Beverley Carr of Mount Prospect, graduated cum laude with a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy on March 7.
• Katie Hennessy, daughter of Mr. Phillip and Mrs. Kathryn Hennessy of Arlington Heights, graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine on May 11.
• Kari Nicole Becker of Arlington Heights has graduated from Indiana University, May 2008. She has earned her Bachelor of Science with a degree in Apparel Merchandising and also received minors in Business and Sociology.
• Kyrsten Becker of Arlington Heights has been named to the spring 2008 deans list at University of St. Francis in Joliet. She earned at 4.0 GPA for the semester.
• Haley Ann Drake of Arlington Heights, graduated with honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on May 11 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Advertising. She is the daughter of Thomas and Gloria Drake.
• Kelsey Elgas, daughter of Mindy and Jim Elgas of Arlington Heights, graduated cum laude with a degree in psychology from Illinois Wesleyan University on May 4. Elgas was on the Dean's List for seven consecutive semesters and finished with a 3.83 GPA in her major.
• Heather M. Dorfmeyer, a junior at Augustana College and an elementary education major, was named to the winter dean's list. She is from Buffalo Grove.
• Allison N. Melville, a senior at Augustana College and a music education (vocal) major, was named to the winter dean's list. She is from Buffalo Grove.
• Kathryn E. Abbott, a senior, and political science, public administration and philosophy major at Augustana College, was named to the winter dean's list. She is from Wheeling.
• Morgan L. Biosca, a sophomore, education and Spanish major at Augustana College, was named to the winter dean's list. She is from Wheeling.
• Anthony D. Fina, a senior, biology and psychology major at Augustana College, was named to the winter dean's list. He is from Wheeling.
• Igor Krichmar of Buffalo Grove earned his associate degree in Culinary Arts from The Culinary Institute of America on Feb. 29. Igor is a graduate of Stevenson High School.
• Kevin Courtois, a senior at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, received the Collegiate Scholar Award from the UI honors program during the annual recognition ceremony April 27. Courtois is a communication studies and pre-law major and was involved in UI Student Government. He is the son of Pat and Mark Courtois and graduated from Adlai E. Stevenson High School in 2004.
