North Aurora Mothers Club and North Aurora Baseball Association

The North Aurora Mothers Club and the North Aurora Baseball Association will be sponsoring their sixth annual North Aurora Baseball Parade May 31.

Beginning at 10 a.m., the parade is a way to showcase the children who participate in the North Aurora Baseball Association programs. This year the parade will begin west of Randall Road because of construction on Oak Street.

The drop off zone for the children, and eventually where the vehicles will line up for the parade, will be the dual cul-de-sac at White Oak Circle, which is just north of Oak Street. The children will line up at the retention pond north of Oak Street between Forest Ridge Drive and White Oak Drive.

The parade route will be White Oak Drive north, with the children walking on the sidewalk heading east to get to the start of the parade route at White Oak Drive.

From White Oak Drive the parade will continue to Hawksley Lane, concluding at Fearn Elementary School, 1600 Hawksley Lane, North Aurora.

The check-in time for the parade will begin as early at 8 a.m. Food and children's activities will be available.

The parade will consist of many teams who participate in the Association's programs as well as police and emergency vehicles, North Aurora Village officials, horses from Huntoon Stables, McGruff the Crime Dog, the Aurora Superstars Football Team and people from area businesses, clubs and community groups.

Entries are being sought for the parade. More information about the parade is available by calling Cristy at (630) 907-6008. Log on to its Web site at: www.northauroramothersclub.org for more information about the North Aurora Mothers Club.
