Victory Centre of Bartlett honored

Victory Centre of Bartlett, 1101 W. Bartlett Road, starts off Supportive Living Week with a proclamation at 2 p.m. today from village president Catherine Melchert.

Monart, Prairie Center host exhibit

Arlington Heights' Monart Drawing Studio and Prairie Center for the Arts will host an opening reception for Monart's new art exhibit from 2 to 4 p.m. May 4 at the center, 201 Schaumburg Court, Schaumburg.

Celebrate with our new section May 11

Beginning Sunday, May 11, the Daily Herald will publish a new section titled "Celebrate," which will herald readers' celebrations of such milestones as birthdays, graduations, new babies, bar/bat mitzvahs, Quinceaneras, baptisms, first Communions, confirmations and anything else that readers would like to celebrate.

There will be a cost to place an announcement in Celebrate. Because of this, birthday greetings no longer will be published in Neighbor for free after May 10. To place an announcement in "Celebrate," visit dailyherald.com and click on "Commitments" under the Lifestyle tab, or call (847) 427-4493.
