Author night at Crystal Lake Public Library
The Crystal Lake Public Library's first Local Author Night is planned from 7 to 8:30 p.m. April 14 in the Ames Meeting Room at the library, 126 Paddock St.
The fair is free and no registration is required.
Visitors will find more than 15 authors waiting to chat with them. The writers will have copies of their books for sale and will be happy to sign them for you. All authors are from the Crystal Lake area and their works include poetry, cookbooks, fiction, history, self-help, memoirs and more.
"There'll be something for almost any reader's tastes in the fair lineup," said Jan Polep, head of Adult Services. "The idea for the fair came about as library staff discovered more and more local authors and though it would be fun to do an evening showcase of as many as our space will allow. We hope you'll join us to meet these selected local authors in person and ask them your questions."
