Artist to teach large format painting

Jeanine Hill-Soldner, artist and art educator, will conduct a Large Format Painting Workshop from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 3 and 4 at the Soldner Fine Art Studio E at Dole Mansion Lakeside Legacy Arts Park, 401 Country Club Road, Crystal Lake.

Hill-Soldner is an award-winning and nationally recognized artist whose art studio and artwork have appeared in galleries and museums regionally and nationally, on PBS and Fox News Chicago.

She has many years of teaching experience and holds a master's degree in Art Education from the University of Illinois. She has taught painting to adults and children for more than 20 years in Florida and around the Chicago area.

Learn to better understand the formal and sensory elements of art in this innovative approach to large format painting. Work from original photographs with acrylic paint on 48-by-36 inch pre-stretched, acrylic primed canvas.

Demonstrations will begin each day with in-class discussions and individual help. Experimentation and individual expression will facilitate the process of finding your unique style.

Students must bring their own acrylic paints and brushes with charcoal, paper and a favorite photo. Supply list is available at sign-in. Easels and work tables will be provided. Lunch also will be provided each day.

Registration is required so that the correct number of easels and tables are available. The cost is $150 for both days.

Visit Soldner Fine Art studio E to register, call (224) 522-4068 or registration forms are available at www.soldnerfineart.com.
