Entrepreneurs can learn good marketing techniques

The author of five books and more than 100 published articles is hosting a free publicity seminar designed to attract new business opportunities for entrepreneurs.

Michael Mercer, Ph.D., will present his hands-on learning session from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Center for Spiritual Evolution, 204 Spring St., Cary.

Mercer attributes successful press exposure to authors who are perceived by journalists as experts in their respective business sectors.

Mercer adds that businesses marketing nationally must include certain ingredients in their articles in order to raise Internet search engine rankings to page one.

Seminar participants will write their own articles and learn how to contact relevant publications. Bring writing materials or your laptop.

Other tips will include details necessary to attract qualified prospects, how to write quickly and be published immediately, portray expert trade status with authority and publish the same article multiple times.
