Concert to benefit NIU scholarships

Prospect High School's Chamber and Varsity Choirs will perform a concert titled "…And the Light" at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights. A free-will offering will be collected, with all proceeds going to the NIU Feb. 14 Student Scholarship Fund.

For the past two years, Prospect High School choirs have participated in Northern Illinois University's Choir Day held in the fall. This event has given these Prospect High School students a chance to work directly with university faculty and NIU students, bringing the tragedy of the Feb. 14 events closer to home. Call Ken Whitney, (847) 718-5364.
