• Kyle Thompson, a freshman at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, had a GPA of 3.5 or higher in his first year. He is a graduate of Libertyville High School.
• Sara Katherine Horcher of Mundelein was named to named to fall 2007-08 Dean's Honor Roll at Creighton University, Omaha, Neb., for earning a 3.5 grade-point average or better.
• Christopher Wayne Key of Libertyville, a student at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, was placed on the Fall 2007 Dean's List for achieving a 3.92 grade point average in his undergraduate studies.
• Amy Horak, daughter of Milan and Brenda Horak of Mundelein, received her bachelor's degree in business administration in December 2007 from Valparaiso University in Indiana with majors in accounting and management. She is a Mundelein High School graduate.
• Erin Gallagher, daughter of Mark and Lisa Gallagher of Mundelein, was named to the fall 2007 Dean's List at Northern Michigan University for achieving a GPA of 3.25 or above. The 2006 Vernon Hills High School graduate is a biochemistry major.
• Benjamin Blum of Vernon Hills, a student in the College of Culinary Arts at Johnson & Wales University, Providence, R.I., was named to the 2007 fall Dean's List for earning a GPA of 3.40 or above.
