Lake in the Hills robbery suspect wanted

Lake in the Hills police are searching for a man suspected of robbing a driver Friday afternoon near the entrance of the Exner Marsh Conservation Area, located at Lakewood and Reed roads. Police said the suspect, who was wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt and blue jeans, seemed to be in distress and holding what appeared to be a baby in a blanket. But when a motorist approached the man to offer help, authorities said he pulled back the blanket and pointed a black handgun at the victim. The suspect took the motorist's purse and attempted to take her wedding ring.
