Kirk good role model for others
Our representative in Congress not only votes for us in Washington but sets an example for public officials.
Dan Seals ran a troubled campaign last time before losing.
His defeat was due in part to Attorney General Madigan's ethics investigation of fund-raising using State of Illinois computers.
Now we learn that Seals invited a congressman who served 15 months in prison for stealing public funds to his class at Northwestern.
In front of the class, ex-con Dan Rostenkowski gave Seals an envelope filled with cash.
This is not the example our representative in Congress should set.
Congressman Kirk pushed through legislation to kill the pensions for congressmen convicted of a felony.
Kirk sets a good example; Seals does not.
