Easter egg hunt for visually impaired children
Mount Prospect Lions Club members will hide specially designed beeping Easter eggs for visually impaired children to find from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Westbrook School at Gillet Center, 201 S. Evanston, Arlington Heights.
The egg hunt was scheduled for after Easter because the school's spring break is at the end of March.
During the egg hunt, children will exchange the beeping eggs for candy and prizes. An ice-cream social will follow inside the school. Children with normal vision also will be able to participate in the activity by wearing a blindfold to experience what it means to lose the use of their eyes. For details, call (847) 772-0444.
