Schaumburg High hosts choirs tonight

Schaumburg High School hosts choirs from Schaumburg Township Elementary School District 54's Robert Frost and Jane Addams junior high schools, performing individually and with the high school's choral groups, at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the gymnasium, 1100 W. Schaumburg Road. Admission is free.

The festival will feature a group performance, including 275 students from all schools. Frost Junior High School's seventh- and eighth-grade chorus is under the direction of Meghan Losch, with Addams Junior High School's choruses led by Denise Kinsey. All choirs will be accompanied by Bev Tipps.

Sloppy Joe dinner at Langendorf Park

Barrington VFW Post 7706 is hosting a sloppy Joe dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. April 26 at the Langendorf Park Field House, 235 Lions Drive, Barrington. The meal will consist of a sloppy Joe sandwich, baked beans, applesauce, dessert and drinks.

Tickets, which can be purchased throughout the village starting Thursday, are $5. Proceeds will benefit numerous local and national charitable organizations.

Fine arts fundraiser planned at Makray

The Barrington High School fine arts boosters will host the "It's All About the Arts" fundraiser at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Makray Memorial Golf Club, 1010 S. Northwest Hwy., Barrington.

The event will feature both hot and cold hors d'oeuvres and entertainment by the Ron Bedal Orchestra.
