Underwriters gets Mexican approval
NORTHBROOK -- Underwriters Laboratories Inc. on Thursday confirmed it has received accreditation from the Mexican government to give its seal of approval to electrical items produced in Mexico. The Northbrook-based safety testing firm said the Mexican government gave it the right to issue the Normas Oficiales Mexicanas, or NOM mark. As with the UL mark, the NOM is a quality assurance label.
