Man wanted for sexual assault of 5-year-old

Lake County sheriff deputies are asking the public for information regarding the man who sexually assaulted a 5-year-old girl April 18 in the Ingleside area.

According to Lake County Detective Paul Warner, the lgirl and her brother were playing on their driveway near Rollins Road and Oakwood Avenue around 2:15 p.m. when a man approached and forced her to perform a sex act on him.

The man left the area through a wooded shortcut to get to the next street. The children told their parents, who immediately called the county sheriff's police.

"The kids were only outside in the driveway for 10 minutes when this happened," Warner said.

The man is described as about 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 170 to 190 pounds with black hair and a mustache. He was wearing a black or dark blue shirt, blue jeans and blue shoes.

"He is still on the run, but we have received a lot of leads and the investigation is still ongoing," Warner said.
