Celebrate women's history at Harper

Harper College's celebration of Women Make History Month continues at 2 p.m. Tuesday with author Kathy Steffen reading from her debut book, "First There is a River." The free event takes place in Room A243 of Building A, 1200 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine.

Senior bingo held at park district

The Hoffman Estates Commission for Senior Citizens and the Hoffman Estates Park District will hold bingo for seniors at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the park district's Community Center and Ice Arena, 1685 W. Higgins Road, rooms 105 and 106.

Help aging parents make decisions

Friendship Village of Schaumburg, 350 W. Schaumburg Road, will hold a panel discussion on helping aging parents make decisions from 7 to 8 p.m. Thuesday. The event will be held in Assembly Hall's Friendship Center.

Attendees will hear from experts in the fields of finance, health care, insurance and wellness, and take part in a question-and-answer session.
