Hawks delay decision on Havlat's shoulder
The Blackhawks will meet with team doctors early next week to evaluate all the test results on the shoulder of Martin Havlat and wait to until then to determine a course of action, General Manager Dale Tallon announced Friday.
Havlat suffered a left shoulder injury on Wednesday in the second period of the Blackhawks 1-0 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes.
It's the same shoulder Havlat hurt in an opening-night scrum in Minnesota, which caused him to miss the next 22 games, and also the same one he had surgery on in Ottawa before he joined the Blackhawks.
If Havlat is done for the season, he accounted for 27 points in 35 games. Last year he played in just 56 games for the Blackhawks.
