Why endorse Dems after Illinois' mess?

Although usually Republican in philosophy, I voted for Blagojevich & company for the State of Illinois. The previous administration hadn't done so well; I believed a "change" was in order. Not a day goes by without a scathing report about the state of this state. And you endorse the Democrats to do the same for the entire country?
