Batavia

• A woman reported that her purse was stolen while she was putting items into her car at a business on the 500 block of North Randall Road at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Kane County

• A blue 1996 Ford Contour was reported stolen about 9:45 a.m. Thursday from a parking area at the Kane County Judicial Center, 34W777 Route 38, St. Charles Township.

• Two $20 bills were reported stolen early Sunday from a truck at 5N546 Myles Road, St. Charles Township.

St. Charles

• Mark C. Rogman, 49, of 414 Wheaton Ave., Wheaton, was charged Thursday with violation of an order of protection in St. Charles, police said. Rogman's bond was set Friday at $5,000, according to a report. He is scheduled to appear in court April 15.

• A chunk of pavement was thrown through an apartment window, valued at $400, about 1:15 a.m. Friday on the 500 block of South 19th Street. A resident told police it was the latest in a series of damage to personal property, including the slashing of a vehicle tire last week. The resident also reported receiving a telephone threat.

• Fourteen commercial-grade thermostats valued at $180 each were stolen Thursday or Friday from a construction trailer on the 3300 block of West Main Street. A padlock valued at $20 was destroyed in the burglary.
