Equating abortion with nuclear power?

Regarding the March 6 Fence Post letter from George Kocan ("Science has no say on human dignity"), all I can say is WHAT?!

If I am reading him correctly, he is equating abortion with nuclear power, meteorology and space exploration. What does any of this have to do with "human dignity"?
