Wheeling Garden Club offers help

The Wheeling Garden Club is accepting applications for scholarship assistance for local residents wishing to enroll in classes dealing with horticulture, entomology, trees, landscaping or residential gardening. Call Joyce Stemp at (847) 537-0567 for an application.

Public invited to budget hearing

The public is invited to participate in a Regional Budget Hearing at 3 p.m. Monday at Northbrook Village Hall in the city hall chambers, 1225 Cedar Lane, Northbrook, to share their views about what the state's funding priorities should be.

Testimony is invited from social service providers, local governments, health care facilities, school districts, colleges, labor unions, business groups, and civic organizations which will help develop this year's state budget.
