Iginla's 365th goal leads Flames' romp over Blues

Jarome Iginla became Calgary's career goal-scoring leader with this 365th in the Flames' 7-3 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Monday night.

The Flames' captain one-timed a pass from Kristian Huselius and had the puck go in off the backside of Blues defenseman Eric Brewer at 18:27 of the first period. Iginla's 41st goal of the season gave Calgary a 3-1 lead. He passed Theo Fleury on the team's all-time list.

Alex Tanguay had 2 goals and Kristian Huselius, Matthew Lombardi, Marcus Nilson and Daymond Langkow also scored for the Flames.

Brad Boyes scored twice and David Backes added 1 goal for St. Louis, which is 1-8-1 in its last 10 games.

Rangers 3, Sabres 2 (SO): Scott Gomez scored the decisive shootout goal, sealing the visiting New York Rangers win over slumping Buffalo.

After the two teams traded shootout goals, Gomez broke the tie by faking right and tucking the puck just inside the left post past spread-eagled goalie Ryan Miller. Jaromir Jagr and Fedor Tyutin scored in regulation for the Rangers, who improved to 10-0-3 in their past 13 games, and moved into a tie with Ottawa for fifth-place in the Eastern Conference.

New York also inched to within three points of East-leading New Jersey.

Jason Pominville had a goal and assist and Thomas Vanek also scored for Buffalo, which fell to 1-3-2 in its past six games. The Sabres did earn a point, inching to within three points of Philadelphia, which holds the conference's eighth and final playoff spot.
