Aurora man wounded in drive-by shooting
A 22-year-old Aurora man was wounded multiple times Friday night during a drive-by shooting near Farnsworth Avenue and Superior Street, Aurora police said Saturday.
Police said the victim apparently was riding his bicycle about 9:30 p.m. when a vehicle - possibly a white SUV - pulled up and someone inside opened fire. The vehicle then fled the area.
The victim was transported to Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora and then airlifted to another hospital. He was in stable condition Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
Police said they received conflicting accounts of the incident, but believe it was gang related. They said their investigation is continuing.
