Baseball, softball
April camp: Elmhurst Youth Baseball, Elmhurst Extreme Baseball and Fastball USA are teaming up for a spring throwing/pitching camp. A step-by-step approach to throwing and pitching mechanics will be followed.
The camps for 7- to 12-year-olds will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. April 11 and 4 to 6 p.m. April 12 at Fastball USA, 137 Diversey Ave., Elmhurst. The $60 cost includes a camp T-shirt. For information or a registration form, call Kevin Ryan at (630) 359-3126 or kpryan26@comcast.net.
Vintage team: The Chicago Salmon Vintage Baseball team has players from the entire Chicago area. Anyone may join the 2008 Chicago Salmon vintage baseball team either as a player or a "crank."
Players range from 18 to 59, and play according to the rules of 1858. The team plays without baseball mitts, using a 9½-inch "lemon peel" style baseball. There is no stealing and other differences from the modern game.

3-on-3 tourney: The Rolling Meadows Athletic Booster Club will hold its 13th annual 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament April 6 at Rolling Meadows High School, 2901 W. Central Road, Rolling Meadows. All boys and girls from third grade through high school are eligible to participate. Entry fees are $100 for teams that register prior to Friday, and $120 for those that register after that date. Players wanted: Mount Prospect Senior Mixed Golf League is looking for golfers at least 55 years old for the league which plays on Wednesday from May 7 to Sept. 24 at Mount Prospect Golf Course. Tee times start at 6:32 a.m. and end at 8:16 a.m. The season kicks off with a luncheon April 25 and ends with a luncheon on Oct. 5 The $50 cost includes both luncheons, reserved tee times and prizes. Spring camps: The Sports Academy-Northwest is offering volleyball and baseball/softball Spring Break Camps at its multi-sport facility at 355 Hastings, Buffalo Grove for every age and ability. Small ratios allow coaches to adjust lessons to meet the needs and abilities of the individual student athlete.

Volleyball
Skills Camps: The Sports Academy Northwest in Buffalo Grove is offering Spring Break Camps for volleyball that include coaching and instruction to improve on the fundamentals of volleyball.
• Mini Volleyball (coed) camp, second to fifth grade, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through March 27. The cost is $45 per person.
• Intermediate Volleyball (coed) camp, sixth to eighth grade, 12:30 to 2 p.m. Monday through March 27. The cost is $55 per person.
• High School (co-ed) camp, ninth to 10th grade, 3 to 5 p.m. Monday to March 27. The cost is $65 per person
