AAUW fashion show to benefit area women

The Crystal Lake Branch of the American Association of University Women will present its 25th annual Spring Fashion Show and Luncheon at 11 a.m. April 19 at the Crystal Lake Country Club. Fashions will be by Talbot's.

This is the year's major fundraiser to provide local and national educational scholarships as well as programs for area women.

Once again, local merchants have been generous in donating prizes for the raffle.

Models for this event include Carolyn Walkup, Sandy Greenwood, Sandi Hall, Linda Meyer, Louette Ames, Barb Pagano, Nancy Gaul, LouAnn Churchill and Katie Parkhurst. All are AAUW members.

Tickets for this AAUW "Rainbow Reflections" show will go fast, so call Katie Parkhurst (815) 338-5753 or Rosemary Murray (815) 479-0735) to reserve your spot early.

Tickets are $28 each, and the deadline is April 12.

The luncheon will feature a choice of chamomile scented salmon or chicken mimosa as the entree, with vegetarian plates prepared if requested.

Raffle prizes will be donated by local businesses and AAUW members.
