Wood Dale starting to open roads

Several Wood Dale streets remained closed early Monday afternoon, but some major roads have begun to open to through traffic.

City officials are reporting that Irving Park Road is open but is down to one eastbound lane and one westbound lane at Salt Creek.

Thorndale Avenue has two eastbound lanes open and one westbound lane through the city.

Still closed are Addison Road between Gilbert and Elizabeth, Elizabeth between Wood Dale and Addison roads, Devon between Mittel and Arlington Heights Road. Lake Street is also closed between Grand/Rt. 83 west to Addison Road.
