St. Viator's Graziano earns certificate
St. Viator High School athletic director Lynn Gaziano earned the Certified Master Athletic Administrator designation from the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, a national professional organization. To earn this voluntary certification, Gaziano demonstrated knowledge, contributions and on-going professional development in the field of interscholastic athletic administration.
• The Palatine Jaycees named the following new officers for the 2008 fiscal year: Brad Haun, president; Jason Coroneos, administrative vice president; Monica Haun, chapter management vice president; Adam Anderson, community development vice president; Vanessa Quinn, individual development vice president; Mindy Buhrmester, membership development vice president; Joe Quinn, treasurer; Jason Foltyn, state director; Christina Knupp, secretary; and Janet Leigh, chairman of the board.
The local directors, responsible for notifying membership of activities in the chapter, are: Erica Bartnicki, Rachel Beck, Heather Tincknell and Crissy Trilling-Raices.
• Mario Guertin, president of Painting in Partnership Inc., Palatine, received the Liddeke Distinguished Service Award from the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America for his service and work on behalf of the organization. Guertin founded two Painting and Decorating Contractors of America entities -- the Schaumburg chapter and the Lincoln State Council -- to create a sharing and learning community for painting contractors in Illinois. He is also the founder and president of the organization's Craftsmanship Forum, a group devoted to the advancement of craftsmanship within the painting industry.
• Sharon Romack of Arlington Heights was hired as executive director of the River North Association of Chicago, a member-driven organization of businesses, bounded by the Chicago River on the south and west, Division Street on the north and Wabash Avenue on the west. Romack, a former executive director of the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce, most recently served with the Community Education program of Township High School District 214.
She is a graduate of Arlington High School and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
