• Eastern Illinois University in Charleston announced the following students were awarded bachelor's degrees at the end of the spring 2007 semester.

Des Plaines: Laura Jean Hagstrom and Danielle Marie Moss (education).

Elk Grove Village: Matthew C. Burke, Kevin Peter Lazare (business), Edward McEnery (business), Michael Eugene Nadler and Renee Diane Quinnett.

Mount Prospect: Kristen Michelle De Vito, James Joseph Euting and Maria Rose Lollino.

Park Ridge: Amanda Jean Jahrling and Nicole Ann Misurlian (business).

• Martha Kuntz, daughter of Esther Fritz Kuntz and Walter Kuntz of Park Ridge, performed in Earlham's Gospel Revelations, Percussion and Jazz Concert Oct. 27. Kuntz is a first-year member of the Gospel Revelations at Earlham College, Richmond, Ind.

• Sana Kamran of Prospect Heights graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology and criminology in May 2007 from Dominican University, River Forest. Kamran, a graduate of Wheeling High School, is also a member of the Pi Gamma Mu honor society.

• Anthony J. Salerno, son of Todd and Julie Salerno of Mount Prospect, was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Winona State University in Minnesota. Salerno earned a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher for this honor. Salerno is currently a senior majoring in marketing with a minor in business administration, He plans to graduate with his bachelor's degree in 2008.

• Erin Cathleen Stake, a graduate of Prospect High School, is the 2007-08 recipient of the Ferdinand Plaenert New Freshman Excellence Award from the College of Agricultural & Life Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison

• Frank Pierri of Mount Prospect, a graduate of John Hersey High School, graduated with a bachelor's degree in chemistry in 2007 from Lake Forest College.

• Katherine Teed of Mount Prospect, a graduate of Prospect High School, was awarded a bachelor's degree in psychology from Lake Forest College in 2007.

• Jammie Meyer from Elk Grove Village, a student at Charleston Southern University in South Carolina, was named to the fall 2007 Dean's List for taking at least 12 credit hours and earning at least a 3.5 grade point average the semester.

• Mohammad Haque of Des Plaines graduated from Elmhurst College May 27, 2007 with a master's degree in computer network systems.

• Matt Zoko of Des Plaines graduated from Elmhurst College May 27, 2007 with a master's degree in business administration.
