Group knits to help others

Members of the Park Knitters have been busy with their knits and purls for several years.

The women, who reside at the Park at Vernon Hills, have put together scarves to give to women and children in need. They have also knitted blankets for area hospitals.

During the holidays, they donated some of their items to a local women's shelter. They also raised $250, which they donated to the PADS program at St. Mary of Vernon Church in Indian Creek.
