Masked man robs Aurora gas station

Aurora police are investigating the armed robbery of a gas station that occurred early Friday as heavy snow blanketed the region.

Police said a man wearing a scarf over his face entered the station on the 300 block of North Eola Road and demanded cash.

Department spokesman Dan Ferrelli said the robber implied he was wielding a handgun but never displayed it to the 29-year-old female clerk. No one was hurt.

Police believe the suspect fled on foot and may have entered a car at another location. They would not reveal how much cash he got before fleeing.

Anyone with information is asked to call Aurora police at (630) 801-6655 or Aurora Crime Stoppers at (630) 891-1000.
