Guilty pleas in Streamwood attacks

Two men charged in connection with a July 31 beating in Streamwood pleaded guilty to battery Wednesday, Cook County prosecutors said. Jose Delgado, 22, of Sycamore was sentenced to 143 days in jail, and his co-defendant, Eric Benitez, 21, of Elgin, was sentenced to 197 days in jail during a hearing at the Rolling Meadows courthouse. Two victims in the case were bludgeoned with a shotgun and a folding chair, police said.
