Naperville man admits to vandalism

A Naperville man admitted Thursday causing about $20,000 in damage during a vandalism spree with a BB gun.

Raymond A. Snyder, 39, 407 Denali Drive, pleaded guilty to two felony counts of criminal damage to property. He faces probation or up to 10 years in prison.

Police arrested Snyder late last year on suspicion he shot at a window at a Bank of America in Warrenville on 10 different occasions over a period of several months.

Months earlier, Snyder also was accused in September 2007 of shooting out windows of Calamos Investments, 2135 City Gate Lane in Naperville. At the time, police said they recovered a BB gun used in the vandalism.

DuPage Circuit Judge Perry Thompson is expected to sentence Snyder this spring.
