It's easier for senators to throw stones
I'm glad to know that our senior senator, Dick Durbin, thinks that the president should make the oil companies do something about oil and gas prices.
Where was Sen. Durbin during the recent Senate hearings on this subject? Why doesn't he propose repealing of the tax credits currently given to the oil companies? On a similar note, why haven't either one of our two anti-war senators offered legislation in the Senate to immediately end the war in Iraq and pull our troops out? Possibly because this is an election year and merely throwing stones at the current president is easier than actually doing some work?
