Briefs: Cary commerce awards

These local businesses have received 2007 Village of Cary Commerce and Industry Awards. Jeff Piluski snagged the rehabilitation-improvement award for remodeling the building he owns at 33 E. Main St. The Cary-Grove Chamber of Commerce received the community economic impact award for its ongoing support and commitment to Cary businesses, community events and activities. O&S Development scored the village's new development architectural award for the company's new 33,000-square-foot office condominium buildings at 835, 855 and 875 Feinberg Court.

Welcome tours at ECC

High school students are invited to Elgin Community College at 11 a.m. Feb. 6 for a tour and information on the enrollment process. The session begins in the Visual and Performing Arts Center. Call (847) 214-7385 to register.

Westminster concert set

In celebration of its 50th anniversary, Westminster Presbyterian Church will offer a special Shaun Groves concert at 7 tonight at the church, 2700 W. Highland Ave. in Elgin. All Westminster Christian School families and friends have been invited to the concert. The concert is free of charge, but a free will offering will be taken to benefit Groves' ministry.
