PotashCorp profits top $1 billion

NORTHBROOK -- PotashCorp on Thursday announced its fourth-quarter earnings rose more than 100 percent to $376.8 million, bringing its full-year profits to $1.1 billion. The maker of potash fertilizer, which had quarterly sales of $1.4 billion, is based both in Northbrook and Saskatoon, Canada.
