Elgin Children's Chorus to sponsor fundraiser

The Elgin Children's Chorus has the answer for the post-holiday blues -- an evening of food, laughs, gags and songs, plus a chance to win four Cubs box seat tickets with free parking on the day of your choice at Wrigley Field, or a one-week trip for two to Fort Myers Beach, Fla., air fare included.

Now that's a sure cure for the January blahs.

Join comedian Tim Clue, who opened for Jerry Seinfeld, for the "Get a Clue, Too!" annual fundraiser Jan. 25 at the Boulder Ridge Country Club in Lake in the Hills. The evening begins at 6 p.m., with cocktails and dinner at 7 p.m.

The evening consists of a cash bar, fine dining, auction, Clue's comedic performance and a special appearance by the Elgin Children's Choristers.

Other auction items include a round of golf for four at Boulder Ridge, gift certificates to the Montarra Grill in Algonquin or Niche in Geneva; French wines donated by Randall & Vine Wine Shoppe in Algonquin; and a home theater system with installation.

While you're curing your blues, you'll be helping to fund the Elgin Children's Chorus, which teaches children music through listening, creating and performing throughout the year.
