Police say woman stole puppy from Crystal Lake store

Police in suburban Crystal Lake are searching for a woman who stole a puppy from a pet store.

Investigators say the woman brought three children to the Petland Store at 6126 Northwest Highway Monday night.

The store's surveillance camera captured the woman putting a 9-week-old black and white Boston terrier in her backpack and leaving the store.

The stolen terrier costs $1,100.
