IMSA plans visit day
Academically talented students interested in attending the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in Aurora may attend a preview day with their parents from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the campus, 1500 W. Sullivan Road, Aurora. The academy offers an advanced college preparatory program for students in grades 10 through 12. Students live on campus and tuition is provided by the state. Freshmen who want to enroll for next fall have until March 1 to submit a written application. The preview day also will showcase IMSA's summer programs for elementary and middle school students. No registration is required to attend the preview day.

Join the Glenbard West Boosters at "Carnivale," a parent dinner dance. The festive event is set for 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the Carol Stream Holiday Inn, 150 S. Gary Ave. Tickets are $49.50. Auction tickets on sale
Tickets for the 32nd Annual Little Friends Bids for Kids Benefit Auction will go on sale today. Last year's sold-out event raised more than $125,000 for Naperville-based Little Friends, Inc. The 32nd annual event will be held on March 8 at the Hilton Lisle-Naperville, 3003 Corporate West Drive. Doors will open at 5 p.m. Festivities will include cocktails, dinner, live and silent auctions, raffles and entertainment. Tickets range from $50 to $135 and can be purchased by contacting Little Friends, Inc. at (630) 355-6533 or www.littlefriendsinc.org. Sponsorship opportunities from $500 to $5,000 are also available.
