Men charged in bar attack:

Police arrested two Elgin men Monday after authorities said they punched and grabbed staff and patrons at the Cadillac Ranch, 1175 Lake St., Bartlett. Authorities say Luis Perez, 29, of 789 Villa St., and Jose Encarnacion, 30, of 367 Lovell St., were denied entry into the bar because they were already intoxicated. The men allegedly threatened staff and patrons verbally and ran back into the bar attacking people. When Perez was searched, police said they found pills known as "Yaba," which are a combination of methamphetamine and caffeine. Perez has been charged with one felony county of unlawful possession of a controlled sub stance and three counts of misdemeanor battery, police said, while Encarnacion was charged with misdemeanor battery.
