Fox Lake woman killed in Kenosha crash

Services will be held Saturday for a Fox Lake woman killed this week in a motorcycle accident.

Renee A. Zoeller, 42, died Monday after her motorcycle hit a guardrail in Kenosha County, Wis.

The accident happened about 7:30 p.m. on County Road W as Zoeller and her husband, Tom, were headed south toward Illinois, Kenosha County sheriff's police Sgt. Gil Benn said.

Tom Zoeller was on a different motorcycle and was ahead of his wife at the time, Benn said.

After driving through a curve in the road, Tom Zoeller looked back to check on his wife and didn't see her, Benn said. He turned around and found her in a roadside ditch, Benn said.

Renee Zoeller had hit a guardrail in the curve and had been thrown from her 2006 Harley-Davidson Sportster, police said. She likely was driving too fast, Benn said.

Zoeller was taken to St. Catherine's Medical Campus West in Pleasant Prairie, Wis., where she was pronounced dead, police said.

Visitation is scheduled for 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Strang Funeral Home, 1055 Main St., Antioch.

A funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Paris Corners Cemetery in Paris Township, Wis.
