Flyers' hot streak continues

Mike Knuble had his first 2-goal game of the season, and the Philadelphia Flyers beat the host Washington Capitals 6-4 Sunday for their seventh win in nine games.

Washington's Alex Ovechkin scored a goal in his first game since signing the richest contract in NHL history.

The Capitals' Michael Nylander's scored his 200th NHL goal.

Canucks 4, Blues 3 (SO): Daniel and Henrik Sedin combined for 5 points, and Alex Edler decided a shootout for the second time in four games as Vancouver beat host St. Louis.

Islanders 3, Senators 1: Marc-Andre Bergeron got his second power-play goal of the game early in the third and Mike Comrie scored later in the period, leading the New York Islanders over host Ottawa. Rick DiPietro made 31 saves for New York.

Wild 4, Coyotes 1: Josh Harding stopped 26 shots in host Minnesota's win over Phoenix. Pavol Demitra, James Sheppard, Eric Belanger and Marian Gaborik scored for the Wild, winner of three straight.

Avs 4, Panthers 3 (SO): Milan Hejduk scored the winning goal in a shootout, lifting Colorado over host Florida.

Oilers 2, Flames 1: Ales Hemsky and Shawn Horcoff each had a goal and an assist, and host Edmonton stretched its winning streak to a season-high four games by beating Calgary.

Ducks 4, Sharks 3 (OT): Doug Weight tied the game with 28 seconds left in regulation, and Francois Beauchemin scored 33 seconds into overtime to give host Anaheim a victory over San Jose.
