Let's give president a chance

I want us out of Afghanistan, but I didn't vote for Obama for that reason. I voted for him because I believe that he has the intelligence, integrity, curiosity, open-mindedness, flexibility and guts to do what he believes is right.

I voted for him because I trust his judgment. It is safe to assume that he knows more about the Middle East and this war than I ever will. President Obama was in a no-win situation as soon as he took office. Republicans would damn him if he pulled out of the war. Democrats would damn him if he didn't.

He has now chosen a path that neither is happy with. Republicans are upset because he's not going about it the way they want and Democrats are unhappy because he's not pulling out immediately.

I am not going to second-guess President Obama at this point in time. He has been in the office less than a year. It is far too early to see the outcomes of any of his actions. Let's stop complaining and give him a chance.
