Streamwood still a well-run village

I have been attending city hall meetings for 12 years, and have gotten to know everyone pretty well, including our mayor, Billie Roth. She has been our mayor for about 19 years with some extra pluses (being a trustee, herself and a village clerk too.) She certainly has had enough experience with city government to be as smart as she is.

I have lived here 40 years and find no problems with the way the city is run. It takes a lot of knowledge to run a village our size and with more and more people moving in, she and the other trustees knowing what to do for the good of our city is remarkable. Since Mr. Spears is new and young to the board, he probably needs to know more about how everyone gets along with everyone else and how they do things together.

Billie is doing a great job in running our great city and then some. It's good to have such a caring person. She makes every person she meets her friend, whether personal or not. She goes out of her way to try and help you and always gives an informed answer. That's why, when you attend a city meeting, there is a town hall discussion at the end of the meeting, which she tries to answer all the questions truthfully and honestly.

Not to forget, there's only one mayor, like there's only one president of the United States.

She stands alone in making final decisions, in which she has done a fantastic job.

Most of us who live in Streamwood are very proud of our town and it's good to be living in it.
