Hersey goes for the laughs in 'Tom, Dick and Harry'

John Hersey High School's theater program will present the comedy, "Tom, Dick and Harry" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, Oct. 15-17, in the school theater, 1900 E. Thomas St., Arlington Heights.

The play, by Ray Cooney, tells the story of Tom and Linda, a married couple longing to adopt a baby. As they await the arrival of the adoption agency's top executive for the final home visit, Tom's two incompetent brothers, Dick and Harry, arrive with cases of smuggled brandy and cigarettes, as well as a cadaver.

The cast: Seniors Ian Hamilton, Mike Capra and Laura Valenzano; juniors Allie Perlongo and Carina Muir; sophomores Matt Leff, Grace Petit, Erin Saflarksi, Caitlin Priester-Featherstone, Amanda Grossmayer and Tyler Zanona; and freshman Mike Perlongo. Junior Molly Petri is the assistant director.

The director is Kyle Marquette; technical director, Matt Michelin; costumer, Marian Schoenbeck; and house manager, Joann Langley.
