Cinderella needs clothes
Today is the last day to contribute to Cinderella's Closet, sponsored by the Junior League of Kane and DuPage counties to provide financially challenged young women with prom outfits. Prom dresses, jewelry, evening wraps, purses, hair accessories and formal shoes can be dropped off at First Centennial Mortgage, 2471 W. Sullivan Road, Aurora; and Elburn Town and Country Public Library, 320 E. North St. Cinderella's Closet is held in April, when the young women are given an opportunity to shop for a prom dress and accessories free of charge. For details, see jlkd.org.
'Ask a Lawyer'

Beginning genealogy
The Geneva History Center and Kane County Genealogical Society will co-host "A Beginner's Guide to Genealogy" from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Geneva History Center, 113 S. Third St., Geneva. Civil War for kids

Kane clerk closing

AAUW hosts player
The Tri-Cities branch of the American Association of University Women hosts "Tea with Terry" at 2 p.m. Oct. 24 at Tea Infusion, 205 W. State St., Geneva. Terry Donahue was a member of the original All American Girls Professional Baseball League. Her team inspired the 1992 movie, "A League of Their Own."
